#RealtyNewsRoundUp: Delhi Police Free To Probe Complaint Against Amrapali, Says SC

The Supreme Court has said that the Delhi Police were free to investigate a complaint against Amrapali Group as the court had not stayed a criminal probe in any case against the embattled real estate firm. On October 9, the apex court sent three directors of the group to police custody for not handing over all the documents required to do the forensic audit of the company books.

Coming to the rescue of cash-strapped non-banking finance companies (NBFCs), public lender State Bank of India (SBI) has decided to buy their assets to the tune of Rs 45,000 crore. SBI had initially planned for a growth of Rs 15,000 crore through portfolio purchase during the current year, but the limit has been increased to give the much-required liquidity to NBFCs.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has announced launch of a residential plot scheme, under which it would be selling over 1,000 plots, measuring between 120 square metre (sqm) to 500 sqm. The online application process would start on October 11.

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority on October 10 launched a housing scheme to offer 1,246 ready-to-move-in flats in Sector 12 and Omicron 1. The flats are priced between Rs 28 lakh and Rs 74 lakh, based on the space and amenities. The authority has developed 987 flats in Sector Omicron 1 while the remaining are located at Sector 12.
